What Is The Story Of 'Bad Beginning'?

          The bad beginning is the first of the series of Unfortunate Series book. Here the Bauldiers children receive the bad information that their parents have passed away and their house has burnt down. Since they all are underage they have to be put up at a guardians place. However, the only guardian that is found is their parents distant relative Count Olaf, who is quite evil and wants to gain all the inheritance money of the children to himself.

          At one episode Count Olaf brings his play troupe home for dinner and expects the kids to cook without any ingredients given to them, however Violet the oldest and the smart one manages to cook a meal. The book's climax begins where the Count Olaf kidnaps baby Sunny and threatens Violet that if she denies her hand in marriage to him then he will kill Sunny. And thus it ends with smart Violet finding a solution out of the marriage. However Count Olaf escapes but promises Violet that the wealth will be his.
