Can You Find The Center And Radius Of A Circle With The Endpoints (-2,6) And (5,-4)?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    If the given endpoints are of a diameter of the circle, the center is located at
    ((-2,6) + (5,-4))/2 = (-2+5, 6-4)/2 = (3,2)/2 = (1.5, 1)

    The length of the diameter can be computed from the Pythagorean Theorem as
    diameter = √((5-(-2))2 + (-4-6)2) = √(72+102) = √149 ≈ 12.2066.

    The radius is half that ≈ 6.1033
