My Husband Has A Sore On His Face That Will Not Heal. It Bleeds & Oozes And I Am Scared That It May Be Melanoma. He Will Not Go To The Dr. Because We Do Not Have The Finances To Pay For Help & Do Not Have Insurance. He Is 64 Years Old So He Is Not Eligable For Medicare. Can You Make Any Suggestions On How We Might Qualify For Help?

I am so sorry that in your otherwise admirable country you have no free health service. However - I was under the impression that your emergency rooms offer some free treatment? Also that some cancer care is free, especially the initial surgery? You really need to go along and ask - skin cancer is not something that improves with time - it gets worse (and more expensive).

At least before the infection produces an abcess, clean the wound and the surrounding skin area with soap & water. Treat the sore with some type of disinfective and cover the eruption with a sterile bandage or gauze.
As for help, explain your money situation in a simple no-spin manner to a Doctor's receptionist, she will bring the situation to her boss' attention. There are many Doctors that act for the benefit of others without compensation...or maybe
you or your husband could barter for the services of the Doctor. He or she probably doesn't have the time to do the simple and manual tasks at their own home.
Those tasks could be taken care of by either or both of you together.
