Who Is The Serial Killer Anatoly Onoprienko?

Anatoly Onoprienko was born in the year 1959 in Ukraine. He is basically a Ukrainian serial killer who went on a murdering spree from village to village killing people at random and looting their homes. He is also referred as The Beast of Ukraine, The Terminator or the Citizen O. He was basically a forestry student. He had a hunting rifle as he was fond of hunting. His method of killing followed a specific pattern. He used to choose an isolated house, upon entering he used to shoot everyone inside the house including small children and then set the place on fire and burnt it down. He used to also kill any witnesses who used to come in front during his murdering rampage.

When the killings became noticeable a manhunt was launched by the authorities in Ukraine in the year 1996 after a total of eight families had been brutally murdered inside their houses. Most of these houses were located in remote villages near the border of Poland. The police with the help of the army searched restlessly for this serial killer. Many people were questioned and even one innocent man was tortured to death in search for Anthony. Finally the authorities got a break when the stash of his weapons was discovered and he was captured by the police. He murdered at least 43 people in just six months in 1995 and 1996. He was sentenced to death on the 31st of March in the year 1999, bust as Ukraine wanted to join the European Union so his death sentence was changed into life imprisonment.
