How Do I Plant Corn?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Planting corn is not going to be a very difficult task if you know the procedure to make it grow well.

The first thing you should do is to take care of the seed as it is very important for the plants to give a good crop. To get good seeds you should make the corn on the cob dried from the previous crop and also you can buy it from the market. To grow it the first procedure you should follow is to scatter the seeds in the field and let the saplings grow. When they attend the size of about six inches you can replant them in a properly ploughed field. You should keep a distance of about nine inches in each of the plant to give each of them ample space to grow well.

One care you should take is that never allow water to log at the roots of the plants other wise it can harm the plants.

When the crop is ready you can enjoy it as a food and some times you can use it as a snack also by baking the corn on the cob. Its plants are also very useful as you can feed cattle with them.
