Confucian art is basically a kind of art, which was inspired by the writings of Confucius, and Confucian knowledge. This art originated in China and later spread towards the west to the Silk Road and later towards the south, down china and then to Vietnam and later towards the east all the way through northern China and then into Korea. However, its influence over the western art seems to have been very limited. This art is also very much distinguishable between traditional premature period, neo-Confucianism, and post-modern Confucian art.

The birthday is generally celebrated on the 27th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar. This day is declared as a holiday in Taiwan. This day; in the western calendar; falls anywhere between late September and early October.

All art is a kind of art. What influence did his moral doctrines have on art in China? How did art reflect his teachings? During what dynasties is this art prevalent? How are they distinguishable? What does his birthday have to do with anything?
