Does The Term "Mock-heroic" Adequately Or Accurately Categorize "The Rape Of The Lock"?

Mock heroic refers to a satirical imitation, a spoof or a parody of a heroic subject or a gallant style.

    Yes the term mock epic or mock heroic  perfectly describes "rape of the lock". It was a satirical take on the 18th century cultural norms as the Brit society used to tend to be complacent and what we may say "hanging on a quiet desperation". It was a humorous stand point to purview things from the eyes of Alexander Pope as it happened then.
