Is My 1939 Nickel Worth Anything?

Answer Question

It also depends if you have a typo coin. Although it is rare and I doubt you have one, if the word monticello on the back of the coin looks like it was written twice then the coin is worth more in the area of $150! And it is only for the coin with no mint mark on the back of the coin.

Usually this nickel is worth only around 35 cents.

Actually it depends on the mint mark. It would be to the right of the building on the back. If there is no mint mark, then it would be worth 25 cents. If there is a D it is worth $3.85. And if there is an S it is worth $1.40.
