I feel just terrible. I don't want him/her to die. What can I do?

Freedom1St is somewhat right however not all turtles are this way. He's thinking of sea turtles. To decide what to do we need to know what kind of turtle he is. Do you know?
If you don't, take a quick look at his feet. Does he have flipper like feet or claw like paw feet? He might not be a swimmer.
I'd say put him in an aquarium or if you don't have one, a bucket or pan of some kind. Don't fill it all the way with water, just a enough that he can stand in it. You don't want to accidently drown him if he's too weak to swim or for some other reason not capable of swimming. Provide a ledge so he can climb out on something soft and warm like a blanket or some dirt.

The only thing I know about turtles coming out of eggs is that they go straight for the water, mainly to keep birds from eating them.
I would keep him wet (moist) for sure. Good luck!

Well, the baby made it through the night!! It is so cold tho. It's eyes aren't even open yet, should I still put it in water????
