Backgammon takes more skills. What do you think? Checkers is something that I played as a kindergardner.

Backgammon, it takes math as well as tactical and practical moves, (strategy). You have to do some good thinking to make that next move. With checkers, its more of a matter of wits, there isn't anything mathmatical about it, except odds of winning. Hope this helps.
