I think it would depend on the circumstance.
Now, if the Werewolf was checking his/her appearance in a mirror and the Vampire was behind him/her, he/she wouldn't see the Vampire coming, now would he/she?

It depends on what kind of wolf and vamp your talking about. Different works of fiction attribute them with different sets of abilities. Sometimes wolves heal insanely fast. Sometimes vamps can mind control. I admit I might be a little biased but I have always believed that a wolf would win in the end. Vampires really don't have any natural weapons while werewolves are not only stronger, they also have claws and teeth. Any damage the vamp does actually inflict on the beast well just simply be healed away. All it takes is one well placed bite and the vampires done. Some may argue that surely the vamp can twist the wolfs head off, since he really can't heal from that but have ever tried to grab the sides of a really pissed off dog? Trust me it's not that easy. Since both creatures are immortal to be fair I'd say they are both the same age so no experience from the vampire would help tilt the scales in his favor. Even if both creatures do end up being equally matched, all the wolf has to do is stall the vamp till daylight. In conclusion, a werewolf would pwn a vampire.

I disagree, Although you do make an excellent point and are correct about which vamp and wolf were dealing with, I would have to say the vampire would win, most vampires I have read about in folklore can turn into fog and/or a wolf and considering the vampire is remarkably intelligent and cunning I believe he could use that to his advantage, also lets consider this in every werewolf movie I've seen silver is always there downfall that may just be your own wolves downfall as well eh?
