HELP healthy older indoor dog kept me up last night itching and licking it's paws and face. Normally sleeps all night with normal behavior not sure what to do or if i can give something like benadryl or aspiran to help relieve it so we can both sleep

Poison Ivy produces allergic reactions in pets as well as humans. Recovery takes place in one to four weeks, even without treatment. Firstly try to wash and scrub the dog with a soap and water, it would keep the reaction from spreading and do it twice to thrice a day. You must consult a vet immediately because there are several over the counter drugs available but a proper medical advice is necessary. But in any case keeping your dog clean by giving it a bath, will limit the infection. And the irritations go off in any case in maximum 4 weeks time.
