There are three parts of the human tooth- root, neck and crown.  All three parts are formed by specialized cells.  The outer coating of the crown is constituted with a canopy of hard enamel.  This shelters the dentine that forms most of the bony framework of the teeth.  There are channels built in the dentine which comprise of blood vessels and nerves, which make the innermost part of the human tooth, which is referred to as the dental pulp.

Most higher animal, particularly the human being is born without teeth.  There are two sets of teeth that are developed as they grow up.  The first set of teeth is the milk set, which is later on replaced by the permanent set, which consists of thirty two teeth.  There are four types of teeth in the human mouth namely incisor, canine, premolar and molars, all of which are used for different functions.
