What Is There To Do In Munich?

Munich is a city which is the capital of Bavaria, Germany. It is situated along the Isar River. The city was established around the year 1158, at the spot of an olden monastery. It was made the capital of Bavaria when it was under the rule of the Wittelsbach family. It underwent heavy damages in the Second World War as a result of bombing by the Allied forces. A few medieval buildings were not destroyed, namely the cathedral and the town hall.

Today Munich is a common centre for trade and culture. It is famous for its numerous museums, the most famous being the Deutsches Museum, situated on an island in the Isar, one of the oldest and biggest science museums on the earth. There are other numerous tourist attractions in the form of art galleries, historical palaces, parks and it's famously renowned beer and ale breweries.
