My Headlights On My 1959 Ford Truck Won't Work, What To Do?

Electrical problem with my headlights,

Answer Question

These trucks are bad about the fuse holders getting dirty (in the fuse block) and not making good connection with the fuse. Remove the fuse and clean the connections that touch the fuse with a brush or scraper, if this doesn't do it, then check the dimmer switch, if it has not been used much it will corrode internally and not get any voltage to the headlights. Short across it with a screwdriver, and if you get lights then you know the switch is bad. Good luck.

You may also have a bad switch itself. Normally when the switch is bad you can pull the knob out and you can place your finger on the bottom of the switch and it will feel like its kicking in and out. Make sure you don't have any jewlery on when you are doing what the other gentalman told you to try or what I suggested as you can get an electrical burn when it shorts out.
