I Have Mold And A Leaky Roof In My Rental. Can I Repair It And Hold Back Rent Without Being Evicted?

Answer Question

You have to report it in writing to the land lord and keep a copy of your letter for yourself, and wait and give him a chance to respond and if he does nothing than you can go to court,or the landlord tenant board and they will tell you how to handle it,because the rent will go on and they will hold it in escrow until he does something or tell you what to do,but it should not take long as mold is not healthy....good luck to you
