What Will Happen If A Hypo Active Thyroid Is Ignored For Three Years?

I had blood work done several years ago that showed that there was a possible problem with my thyroid. Three years later I was diagnosed with Hypoactive thyroidisum, cronic fatige, cronic depression, sleep apnea and fibromyalgia. Is it possible/probbable that by not researching farhter into the abnormal blodwork helped to contribute to my weight gain along with the other medical problems muntuned? At the time I was an active duty US Marine who had recently returned from serving in operation Dersrt Shield / Desert Storm.

If you have a hypoactive (under active) thyroid, you may notice these symptoms:

Weight gain, depression, forgetfulness, decreased concentration or fatigue. Hoarseness, feeling cold or sluggish, hair loss, dry skin, round puffy face (seen with a severely depressed thyroid gland), or tingling in your hands/feet. High cholesterol, constipation, low sex drive or infertility.

This is a list of symptoms on since some of the ones you mention are on--I'd say yes
