Many parents have left their babies in car baby seats for a while whilst they have been indoors but it does pose a huge health risk to the babies. Many parent shave come back into the room to find their babies blue and struggling to breathe in the chairs. It seems that the oxygen levels are extremely low in the chairs and some babies have almost died whilst they have been kept in theirs indoors.

The chairs are definitely not intended for indoor use and babies should never be left in them indoors, even if it is only for a few minutes. One of the reasons many parents seem to leave their babies in the chairs indoors is because they have taken them out of the car and they either wanted to put their shopping away first or they thought the baby was sleeping nicely and they did not want to wake them up.

I think you need to keep an eye on baby when in a car seat indoors. I know a lot of people have let their babies sleep all night in one, even though it is not recommended. i had to do this when my son was an infant. because of allergies he could not breathe lying flat. But I kept him right next to me.
