How Do I Keep Myself From Cutting Myself Even More?

Each time the urge begins, close your eyes and, (don't let me scare you away and I'm not going to start preaching), close your eyes and picture Jesus walking along the shore of an ocean, at night, alone. As you relax imagine at what point in his life is the moment, what is he thinking?, how does he feel?, he knows he is going to die, is he scared?, does he resent the people for whom he's dying?,(I sure would), How does he stay strong, Why doesn't he just give up? Any question comes to mind, then imagine what he might say to you at that moment.

Trust me, I am in no way a religious guy. But I do this when I have urges I wish to quell, and it works like a champ. I'm sure someone will say it's just a trick to distract ,e. Well, trick or not, it works, I feel better after and the urge seems to stay away for at least a couple days. I like that.

I used to be the same way. Focus on what you truly want and don't take no for an answer.
