It was a legendary event in the history of America. Many confrontations took place that day. There have been many myths about what happened on April 18th 1775. In all, one thing that is common among all the stories that I have read is that there was a firing on Lexington Green. The British Soldiers fired at Lexington Green and killed 8 men. There are still questions about whether any provincials shot at the British Troops first? Or did any men from the Lexington troop's fire back? You might not find appropriate or accurate answers to all these questions online. You can read this book by a famous Author David Fischer called "Paul Rivere's Ride". This book describes all the events which took place on the night of 18th April 1775.
