The Carry On films were a long-running series of British comedy films, renowned for their saucy humour. They were directed by Gerald Thomas, produced by Peter Rogers, and starred more or less the same team of popular British comedy actors such as Barbara Windsor, Sid James, Hattie Jacques, Kenneth Williams, Joan Sims, and Charles Hawtrey.

The first Carry On film was Carry On Sergeant, about a group of recruits doing National Service. Much of the humour involved sending up British customs and institutions, such as the National Health Service in Carry On Nurse, Carry On Doctor and Carry On Matron. There were also historical spoofs, such as Carry On Cleo and Don't Lose Your Head.

All in all, there were thirty-three Carry On films. As for which is the most watched, with the availability of videos, and people watching movies in there own homes, there is a lack of accurate data. But the most popular Carry On films are thought by many to be Carry On Doctor, Carry On Camping and Carry On Cleo.
