If you are running a fever, you need to go to the hospital right away, as it could be, and it can rupture at any time, without warning. Please don't delay, even if you don't have a fever, just make sure you get it looked at for your own safety. Hope this helps, good luck to you, please let me know if it is, and that you are o.k.

When you start vomiting, wishing you were dead...then you will know you have it.  Also you will experience sharp pains in your lower right abdomen...I don't recall a fever, but I will never forget the vomiting!  Good luck to you dear.  ♥Nassy

I agree, if you are running a fever--even a low grade one seek immediate medical attention. If not, get checked asap anyways as it could also be Spinal meningitis. By daughter had this and this is how it started. I gave her Tylenol for the pain thinking she had just pulled a muscle. The next day sh started vomiting and I took her to the ER and they said she had an upper respiratory infection with an UTI (urinary tract infect). I took her home and she then started running a fever low grade at first the it climbed and back to the ER she went and was admitted. To start, she just had pain, then nausea/vomiting (Drugs thought it was an appendicitis as well, but tests showed it wasn't), then flu like symptom w/ low grade fever, then increased symptoms with high fever. Hers was caused by a mosquito bite. So to be safe, I would get it checked out and keep watch out for other symptoms.

She is doing much better now, thank you! We almost lost her. The Dr we had here kept her for 3 days w/ just an antibiotic and tylenol and came in on the 3rd day with papers to release her and at the time her temp was above 106.9 and the nurse (who was fired after this because of the advice he gave) and I was up all night long taking turns rocking, cleaning(she was vomiting almost continuously), holding her(she was having convulsions) and praying! The nurse recommended that we get her to a children's hospital 80 miles away, "if you want her to live"! We had to sign her out with this ridiculous fever (the dr would not approve a ambulance) and drive her to the other hospital. When we got there (thanks to that nurse who called ahead) they were waiting for us. They took her ran some tests and in 2 hours her fever was broke and she was up moving a bit! The Drs there said if we had waited just 12 more hours (at the most) she would have died! Thank God she didn't! She has had some complications from it but they are over and she is well now. That is why it is so important to find out what is causing this. the symptoms for Spinal meningitis is very similar to an appendicitis.
