I Terminated My Lease, But Gave A 30 Day Notice. I Have Been Ordered To Show For Court Because I Could Not Pay, What Will They Do Next?

I moved into an apartment complex in Feb. 2007. I terminated my lease, however, I didn't give but 30 days notice. They have ordered me to appear in court for lack of being able to pay rent until the apartment was re-rented. They are trying to collect $900 from me for termination, late fees. What will happen next?

You will most likely have to pay for the rent as you broke the lease.Doesn't matter if you gave them the 30 day notice because you signed it for a certain time.If you had found someone else to rent it then you could have been in the clear if your landlord agreed .Sorry looks like you had better save up the $900

If you are found lyable and dont pay they will eventually get a court order to deduct a specified amount out of each one of your pay checks it dosent matter if you switch jobs they will always find you because of that good old thing we call a social security number
