Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last messenger of god. Muslims believe that he he came to guide us to the right path as people nowadays do not know that god even exists. Muhammad (peace be upon him) went through hardship just to turn his people into the right path and not to face the wrath of god. He came to convey the message that there is no god except for Allah. Muslims believe that the people who followed him will get there reward in the hereafter (paradise) and the people who turned away will face hell life after death.
