I have 3 kittens about 2-3 weeks old that the mom cat is now rejecting and hissing at them. They do not want anything to do with the bottle. Any suggestions will be helpful.
I would take one of them to the vet and see if there is something wrong with the kitties, sometimes a mother will reject them if they feel that there isn't any use in trying to keep them alive. Meaning they could be very sick, and mom figures it's a waste of time to nurse. If the vet does find something, then maybe he can fix them, and they will learn to eat from the bottle. Hope this helps, good luck.
Thanks for the advice. They finally starting eating from an eyedropper and I did take them to the vet over the weekend. They are in great health and now eat alot. However they still will not take to the bottle but the eyedropper works well. Its just messy. I'm also making a slurry from can kitten food and water as the vet suggested. Now that is a huge mess. LOL. But the kittens are worth it. Again thanks for answering.
