How Will Blurtit.com Deal With Adult Oriented Questions, If A Young Child Is Looking For Answers On It's Site?

Blurtit do have terms and conditions (which can be viewed from the home page). It is made clear that certain types of questions will not be tolerated and certain language will not be tolerated.
Although some of the questions will be of an adult nature, these can be expressed without being too gratuitous or specific.
Moreover, a yound child will (hopefully) be looking for answers on topics relating to things in which they are interested in as opposed to entering search words which may bring up adult 'issues'.
Finally, it is important that young children have some degree of supervision when using the internet. The internet is a fantastic source of information, fun and education, but sadly it is also used by people who really flout the 'normal' laws of Society and as such yound children should not be encouraged to surf without supervision. The internet is not a childminder substitute.

If a young child sees things to do with adults on Blurtit, s/he won't understand it anyway so it won't matter.If someone posts bad language or something, it will be reported as abusive. Also, the blurtit terms of service say that children need parental permission to sign up. I am still a child, and I think blurtit is a great site for children as well as grownups.

Blurtit is unlikely to have too many problems with adult oriented questions, answers or language as there is a failsafe built-into the Rating system, which allows unsuitable questions and answers to be reported.

In addition, a child is more likely to find unsuitable material through a basic search with any search engine on the Internet, and more likely to try that first than searching in a purely text driven environment such as Blurtit.
