This classic US sitcom ran from 1964 to 1970. The Hillbillies are the Clampett family, ranchers from the Ozarks who move to Beverley Hills when oil is discovered on their land, making them millionaires overnight. They enthusiastically embrace the high life and remain cheerfully unaware of how their new neighbours regard them, carrying on with their rural manners and customs. Granny (Irene Ryan) continues to cook hearty dinners based on whatever she can find (or kill) while the "children" Jethro and Elly May (Max Baer jr and Donna Douglas) indulge in arm-wrestling contests and fill the house with odd animals.
Only Jed Clampett (Buddy Ebsen) head of the family, has an uneasy sense that they aren't quite fitting in. He enlists the help of financial adviser Milburn Drysdale, who with his snobbish wife and eccentric secretary ("Miss Jane" played by Nancy Kulp) tries to give the Clampetts a little polish. It doesn't work.
