Where Is Mt Mckinley?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Mount McKinley stands tall in Alaska in North America. It is the highest mountain peak in North America and is also known as Denali. The name is derived from the meaning "the great one" in the Dena'ina language. This language is the official language of people in Alaska.
The peak is as tall as 20,320 feet (6,194 metres). It was earlier known as Bolshaya Gora (Большая Гора), wherein the name was then derived from the Russian Language.
The mount is also characterised by an extraordinarily stern peril of altitude sickness and exceptionally cold weather conditions due to its elevated latitude and its closeness to the jet brook. There only as much as 47 per cent oxygen at the peak as it is at the sea level, but due to its high latitude the pressure is much lower than expected.
