What Is The 'AutoLink' Button For On Google Toolbar?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The AutoLink button is basically used to add useful links to webpages. You can link street addresses to maps etc. The autolink button will search for items on a webpage such as an address, and then it will link the address to a map.

To use the AutoLink feature, the AutoLink button on the Google Toolbar just needs to be clicked and then it will begin locationg addresses etc.

The AutoLink button can be used for street addresses, ISBN numbers on books, tracking numbers such as UPS, and automobile VIN.

You can change the provider for maps and ISBN providers by clicking on 'Settings', on your Google Toolbar 'Options' and then under 'AutoLink', click on 'AutoLink Settings'. You can change from Google Maps to Yahoo! maps for example, or from Amazon to Barnes and Noble for books.
