Janice Dickinson was the first ever supermodel. She was born and raised in America and started modeling in Europe as well as the United States soon after she was out of high school. She soon became one of the most successful and famous models around and was well known for declining jobs unless she was paid a fat sum of money (that she though she deserved). Because of this she got paid about $2000 a day while the other models took home a small $75.
Janice has appeared on covers of magazines like Harper's Bazaar, Playboy, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Editions as well as 37 covers of the Vogue magazine. She also claims that she was the first one to coin the term 'supermodel.' She has also been talked about for all the cosmetic surgery that she has undergone as well as her personal life, both of which she is very vocal about.
