Because you allow it to be so. If you are setting and waiting for something exciting to happen, you may have a long wait. If you want to do something more than watch TV or play computer games or come on this site and complain, you can. The only thing that limits you in having a fun filled, productive life is your imagination. Put on your thinking cap. You can probably think of many things that would give you some enjoyment, if you try.

But there are so many limits. Especially when your in your early teens, its 7pm at night and its dark outside and no one's online... :(
In a time situation such as you describe, try popping some pop corn, drag out some of your old board games and see if you can encourage the family to play with you. They might like to do something other than set in front of the idiot box. Or...call a friend (or several) and ask them to come play with you. You could set up a specific game night with your friends each week and get together at a different house each week. Surely they get bored also.
Ah i ask myself that everyday but then again life is what you make it.If your the type to just sit there and dont do anything to change your life of course it will be boring.I felt the same way for along time until i had kids that changes everything because then you dont have the time to be bored im not saying go out and have kids by far its a hard full time job.But try and do something different then you usually do or maybe start a new hobby or join in sports that should occupy some of your time and well the rest is up to you.Good luck stressed21

Life isn't boring if you make something of it. If you just sit around wasting time of course you will be bored.

That's a really good question. It actually isn't. If you're constantly bored, than you should probably get off your lazy butt and go out and do something fun!
