Where Do I Find Parish Records?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Parish records were traditionally kept in the local Church of the Parish, however most have been moved to local records offices. Depending on whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales this may be different.

Parish records are useful when searching for information on births, deaths and marriages. If you are trying to trace your ancestry, it is useful to look at the national census also to find out more information.
