Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system. There are two types of lymphoma, Hodgkin Lymphoma and non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Like very many cancers it is possible to make a full recovery and live a long and happy life after cancer, but it is a very serious illness.
Most lymphoma are non-Hodgkin (only about 20% are Hodgkin). Lymphoma can be treated by radiotherapy, chemotherapy, steroid therapy or monoclonal antibody therapy. Usually chemotherapy and radiotherapy are standard treatments and then used with a combination of the other therapies listed above.
Lymphoma is a complex disease and there are 14 different types of lymphoma.
