Answer Question

    This question was answered here.

A "yard" of dirt is a volume of dirt equal to 1 cubic yard. To calculate a volume of a rectangular prism in cubic yards, convert its dimensions to yards and multiply them (length*width*height). To convert any other volume to cubic yards, compute the volume and multiply by the appropriate units conversion factor. It may be easier to convert the dimensions to yards first, then compute the volume.
