    Herpes is a sexually transmitted disease which one partner can get from an infected partner even if he has no symptoms of herpes. This is one of the most common fact about herpes and the major reason for the disease to spread at a fast pace.

    Even if a person has no symptom for Herpes, the virus for the genital herpes can still be active in the body of a person. Ninety percent of Americans do not even realize they have a virus in their body related to the disease and can thus affect other people with out any bad intentions.

    If a person has a Herpes sore and he touches it and then touches other parts of his body, the sores can develop in those areas too. Thus it is very important not to touch the sores, as they can be spread easily. It is very important to always wash your hands with a good anti-infection soap.

    It is a common fact that people who take a lot of stress in life and who do a lot of physical exertion can trigger the Herpes virus in their body and get infected. Early symptoms of the disease can be severe burning on the skin, itchiness, irritation and tingling on the skin. It is a sign that the out break has begun and might start spreading on the body.

    It is said that people who have the Herpes virus, have a high chance of getting HIV infected, as compared to those who do not have Herpes and eventually can lead them to having AIDS.
