What's The Difference Between Java And .net?

Answer Question

Java is platform independent programming language.

    .net is not platform independent.
it only works on Microsoft Windows.

But both in java and .net we are able to develop both static and Dynamic web pages.

Java uses some built in or predefined classes provided by Java developer kit (jdk1.1,jdk1.2.... jdk1.5) for its creation.

.net uses some built in function provided by VB,MS Windows and also invoke some system calls.

Java uses MS Access, oracle, sybase...etc., as their back end
    databases.

.net uses MS Access, oracle only and also run under Windows environment.

    Any way Java leads .net
