Chaucer Makes His Characters Give Themselves Away. How? (In Prologue)

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

This is because of the fact that Chaucer creates and describes his characters with such minute detail that they don’t seem like imaginary characters but they give themselves away and are very self-explanatory. In the prologue he has very successfully created thirty characters which are for all ages are an excellent explanation of the society at that time. The way they are described in terms of their dresses, habits, living style, and other tendencies make them give themselves away to the reader instinctively.
