It Is Used In Third World Countries As It's Main Fighting Source. They Will Shoot In Whatever Condition, Whether It Has Water Or Sand In It. It Will Still Shoot. The AK is not a WMD, if we removed all the AK's in the world then tomorrow a replacement gun would fill that hole, the only reason it's so famous is because of media hype. Most modern rifles shoot in almost any condition and many are more powerful and devastating than the AK.

I do not believe so. As frankw has said, most modern military rifles will shoot in almost any condition and the AK is becoming somewhat dated.

The ak is not a wmd. If you got rid of that one there is several others that are similar like the sks. All are made for durability to shoot in extreme conditions. A wmd is something that can kill or injure many at once. Usually one bullet is one kill. anything can be used to harm people its wmd when it gets into the hands of people that use it to injure many with the least possible effort.
