How Much Would A Recycled Pencil Cost?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The manufacturing of pencils is an industrial process, consisting of combining minutely ground graphite as well as clay powders, structuring long noodle lie strings, and then treating them by firing in a kiln. The resultant cords are then immersed in either oil or molten wax, which leaks into the tiny pores of the material, leading to smoother writing.

Nowadays however owing to an enhanced environmental awareness, pencils have started to be made from recycled materials. Recycled pencils are not that different from ordinary pencils, as they too have to go through the same process. Hence they cost the same as regular pencils do, of course the prices are not standard and vary from brand to brand and also depend on the quality of the pencil. If you buy normal recycled pencils then they would cost you around the same as regular pencils. However if you want to buy high quality art pencils, then obviously they will cost more.
