Can Calculate Number Of Moles Of C4H10 In 5 Grams?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    The molecular mass of C4H10 is 58. It can be calculated as;

    molecular mass of C4H10= 12*4 + 10*1

    molecular mass of C4H10= 48 + 10

    molecular mass of C4H10= 58

    The atomic masses of carbon and hydrogen atoms are 12 and 1. Four atoms of carbon and ten atoms of hydrogen are present in C4H10.

    The molar mass of C4H10 = 58 grams

    moles= mass given/ molar mass

    moles= 5 grams/ 58 grams

    moles= 0.086 approx
