Spinal stenosis refers to a medical condition where the spinal canal narrows and compresses the spinal cord and nerves. The causes of this disease are natural process of spinal degeneration that occurs with aging, spinal disc herniation, osteoporosis, or a tumour. It results in Low back pain and pain or abnormal sensations in the legs.

I have spinal stenosis and my doctor and I discussed the possible causes such as heredity, arthritis, tumors, aging, accidents that can go into the canal, or instability of the spine (which is what we think caused mine).  It's when a vertebra slips forward on top of another and narrows the spinal canal.

I've had back problems all my life due to a birth defect in my hip which affected my back.

      I have all the symptoms.....
Falling, clumsy, a LOT of pain, I have a hard time walking, I have numbness, tingling and hot and/or cold feelings in mr legs.  I didn't know what was wrong with me.  When I'm clumsy and come close to falling down I get paranoid that people think I'm drunk!  :)
