I have a Philips DVD player with the power button, play, open and stop but no remote I have a g.e universal remote that I want to use for it. I need to know how to do that

Go to the Phllips we site, find your dvd player and make note of the remote control code number.
If you are also without the instructions for the universal remote go to their web site for the instructions and you are on your way.
