    A volatile image is a picture that avails for a very short span of time. Such a picture is the one which is taken or observed by a mirror, a projection or an image from a camera obscura   or from a cathode ray scene display. Hardcopy is a name given to a image which is fixed, it is the picture which is actually recorded on a material object which can be paper or also a textile. Talking about an individual's mind, a mental image what is formed, which one keeps in mind or remembers and are imagines.

    Well these pictures do not necessary require to be in real, they can be imaginary functions, photography is basically a entire procedure of recording pictures which is done by gathering rays of light and making it fall on a light sensitive medium, which can be a film or sensor. Usually these images are taken by a device known as camera which stores the resulting images chemically or electronically. And having speaking of picture how can one forget about manually produced pictures, which can be as drawing, painting, carving or by even computer graphic technology.
