Here are the Dos and Donts on what to do on your first days at university:
DO:
Have a good walk around the campus to try to familiarise yourself with it at much as possible before you start.
Pre-walk your first class by finding out where it will be and have a walk there to see how long it takes you to get there
Go out and enjoy the nightlife
Buy the books you need, don't expect someone to lend them to you
DONT:
Worry too much, you are bound to be homesick and feel a little out of place. Try to make a couple of friends and stick with them.
Stay in your room reading all the time
Enjoy the nightlife so much that you do anything you will immediately regret for the rest of your time and end up missing important meetings, lectures etc.
Spend all your time working or partying!
