    William Trevor Cox or William Trevor was the writer of the classic novel "The Old Boys" which was published in 1964. The Irish writer was born on 24th May, 1928 in County Cork in Ireland. He got his education from Trinity College which was situated in Dublin. Before moving towards England Trevor  worked as a teacher, advertising copywriter and sculptor.

    Trevor's works are noted for their delicate characterizations and lightly tuned paradox. His point of view is mostly on the psychology of unusual people and pariahs. His second novel was "the old boys" and it tells a story of some "old boys" who scheme against each other. His other classics are "Felicia's Journey", published in 1994 and "Death in Summer" published in 1998. He is very  well known for his collections of sardonic or ironic and ghoulish short stories.
