Any thing that is made out of wood, such as furniture, buildings, boats etc is constructed by a carpenter. They are responsible for constructing, straightening, repairing and building structures and other furniture. Carpenters can either work on contract or even for a certain company. A carpenter helps building a house, such as putting windows, doors, panels, cupboards, kitchen ceilings etc.

Certain rules are supposed to be followed by carpenters at times about the materials to be used. All carpenters follow the same essential steps in order to get ready for the job. It is important for them to design the project first before implementing on it. This includes taking measurements of the place where the wood has to be fixed, marking the measurements and getting the materials arranged which will be required to build a certain thing.

After this the carpenter starts cutting and shaping the material which he has to fix on to the wood with the help of different tools and kits. The tools that a carpenter uses include saws, drill machine, nails, chisels and hammers. They also require strong glues to stick the wood together. Along with these they take measurements with the help of rulers and measuring tapes.
