What Was The Conclusion Of The Red Cross Regarding The US Raids In Afghanistan?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The International Committee of the Red Cross has presented the true picture of the consequences of US raids in the western region of Afghanistan.  It happened in April 2007 when the Special Forces of the United States in their operations against the Taliban militants also killed a great number of civilians as well as many people and families were left homeless in the aftermath of those bombings.

The United Nations investigation confirmed the number of the people killed during the US raids to be 50.  Around 173 houses have been either completely damaged or whatever is left of them is in such a precarious situation that it is not fit for living.  At the moment, the Red Cross and the Afghan Crescent Society has been providing relief aid to the affected victims of the fiasco, most of who are families who are being given aid in the form of food, jerry cans along with blankets and pressure cookers, thus providing them with the basic necesseties for the time being.
