In a manner of speaking yes. If we assume that the sun explodes at point X, then 8½ minutes later the explosion would reach Earth. At that point, the current Earth wouldn't exist and neither would all the fossils yet to be found.

There are many theorys, but believe this one of this things that the world will never know. I Do know that the solar winds are one million miles per hour, and I do believe that these winds have an effect (Or affect lol) on our atmosphere. there was just a very interesting show on history channel about a week or so ago. I enjoyed it. IT did state if the sun burns out and supernovas than it would likely destroy many things in its path. Something else I liked was its mention of our neighbor galexy andramada might in millions of years eat in essence our whole galexy. It has a black hole largerthan our sun they say. I wanna go! Well have fun.

That depends if you're a scientist or a philosopher!

One would say yes, and the other would say no!
