Answer Question

From the very beginning of the history of mankind, the lion has been considered the symbol of strength, so the phrases "strong as a lion" and "lion-hearted" came to use. In courts throughout the world, the lion was used on shields and crests and banners to indicate power. Lion is called "king of beasts", probably it was not because anybody could prove that a lion could defeat all other animals in combat, but because lions strike such terror in man and other beasts.

The ancient Egyptians believed the lion was sacred, and during the time when Christ was born, lions used to live many parts in Europe. By the year 500 A.D. they had all been killed. Now a day the only places where lions are plentiful are in Africa and in one region in India.

Lion is included in the group of cat, so unlike other cats it doesn't purr and rarely climbs tree, it takes readily to deep water. The important thing which can be identified as lion as a king, that if a lion isn't hungry he pays no attention to the animals, such as zebras, gazelles or antelopes or his foods.
