Management is the basic practice of business that is useful in every sphere of business including Marketing. As Marketing manager you need to lead your people. Which requires functions such as Leadership, motivation etc all of which comes from management. On the other hand, while dealing with clients, suppliers, sales persons etc you would need strong communication and negotiation skills which will come from Management knowledge.
